Michael Stierstorfer, M.D.

Michael Stierstorfer, M.D., the developer of IBS-80, is a board-certified and practicing dermatologist and the pioneer of the usefulness of food patch testing for IBS and IBS-like symptoms. He specializes in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology and serves as a consultant for The Compounding Pharmacist. Dr. Stierstorfer graduated with honors from Franklin & Marshall College and Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and Dermatology residency at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where he supervises dermatology residents in training and was awarded a Faculty Teaching Award in 2008. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology and Dermatological Surgery, and Philadelphia Dermatological Society and was named a Philadelphia magazine Top DoctorsTM winner in Dermatology in 2018 and 2019. He has been published in a number of peer-reviewed dermatology journals, is a clinical investigator independently and for the University of Pennsylvania, and participates in the Major League Baseball Skin Cancer Screening and Awareness Program.

Kevin M. Hennessey, PharmD

Kevin Hennessy is the owner and Pharmacist in Charge of The Compounding Pharmacist—the first compounding-only pharmacy in Pennsylvania, operating since 2001. Kevin is a graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (aka University of the Sciences). He is a member of the Pennsylvania Pharmacist Association and the Professional Compounding Centers of America, and he is an extended faculty member of the University of the Sciences.

Mark A. Pimley, R.Ph

Mark Pimley is the founder of The Compounding Pharmacist and has over 30 years experience specializing in compounding medications. A graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, he is an award recipient and member of the Professional Compounding Centers of America. Mark is an extended faculty member of the University of the Sciences, and he is the inventor of 6 published and multiple pending pharmaceutical patents.
